Frequently asked questions

FAQ
  • Can I book an option on its own?

Options are available alongside a meal plan. We are unable to take an option on its own, without dining.

  • How far ahead must geisha or kabuki be booked?

Traditional performance — geisha, kabuki, Edo tezuma and the like — should be booked at least two weeks ahead. For popular dates we suggest speaking to us sooner.

  • Can several cultural experiences be combined?

Yes, freely. Geisha with Edo tezuma, tea ceremony with a kaiseki dinner — the Omotenashi Planner will propose how best to run the evening.

  • How do you look after guests from abroad?

English-speaking staff on site and materials in English, plus vegetarian, vegan and allergy requirements handled person by person.

  • Is there a cancellation charge?

As a rule, cancellations are free of charge until 16:00 the day before. However, the terms differ depending on the course you choose and the number of guests, so we will give you the details separately.

  • Can geisha be arranged for a small party of two?

Yes, from two guests. A small party makes for a closer, more intimate ozashiki.
