Eighteen, and then twenty
a coming of age kept as a family
A coming of age kept as a family
A coming of age happens once in a lifetime. Why not gather the whole family round one table, let the old stories come out, and take the meal slowly?
Mother and father, grandmother and grandfather, an older cousin — because it is exactly these people who have watched the child grow, let them celebrate that growth and the new beginning together.
When is a coming of age celebrated?
The age of majority was lowered to eighteen in 2022, but most local authorities still hold their ceremony — now often called the "gathering of twenty-year-olds" — as before, and the celebration is usually held in the year the child turns twenty.
So more and more people mark eighteen with the family and twenty with their friends.
Wearing the furisode twice, once with the family and once with friends, and enjoying each occasion for what it is, is a newer shape the celebration has taken.
The coming-of-age plan

For a coming of age, which opens the door on a new life, we make a present of a celebration sea bream with head and tail on, and a drink for the toast for everyone at the table. May the while be full of smiles and good wishes.
¥30,000(tax incl., per guest)
- Celebration kaiseki
- Room charge
- The gift
- Consumption tax
A proper kaiseki course of the season, with the handsome dishes a celebration calls for. To mark the start of adult life we include one whole celebration sea bream, head and tail on, and a drink for the toast for everyone at the table. Take your time over that first step into adulthood.
Add our mizutaki
¥5,500
Why not share our mizutaki, the dish Jisaku has been loved for since it opened, at the celebration table as well?
"If more than one person makes it, the taste changes" — so it is entrusted to a single cook, and it became the dish the house is known for. Chicken and water, nothing else. The technique was worked out to draw the bird's own quality forward, and it uses the whole chicken, head to feet, with nothing wasted.
Mizutaki (Awa-odori chicken), onion, house ponzu, momiji-oroshi, spring onion
※ The plan price does not include drinks or the service charge (15% at lunch, 20% at dinner). These are charged separately.
