At ease on the tatami
an okuizome to remember
What is okuizome?
It celebrates a baby reaching a hundred days safely, and carries the wish that the child will grow up healthy and never want for food in the whole of their life. The rite goes back as far as the Heian period.
Because it is usually held on the hundredth day after the birth, it is also called momoka-iwai. The baby is only made to pretend to eat; it is a lovely occasion, full of the affection of parents and relatives for the child.
At ease on the tatami — an okuizome to remember
The okuizome plan gives you a wholly private room, a calm space for your family alone. Even if the rite is new to you, we explain it from the first step.
Besides the food of a proper ryotei, the tatami room means children are safe to move about and older guests can settle comfortably.
A plan that lets you take your time over an important day.

- Celebration kaiseki
- Room charge
- The gift
- Consumption tax
A proper kaiseki course of the season, with the plump, auspicious dishes a celebration calls for. The okuizome tray and the celebration sea bream, which carry the wish for the child's growth, come with the plan. Even a first rite is explained from the first step, so you can take the celebration at your own pace.
Add our mizutaki
¥5,500
Why not share our mizutaki, the dish Jisaku has been loved for since it opened, at the celebration table as well?
"If more than one person makes it, the taste changes" — so it is entrusted to a single cook, and it became the dish the house is known for. Chicken and water, nothing else. The technique was worked out to draw the bird's own quality forward, and it uses the whole chicken, head to feet, with nothing wasted.
Mizutaki (Awa-odori chicken), onion, house ponzu, momiji-oroshi, spring onion
※ The plan price does not include drinks or the service charge (15% at lunch, 20% at dinner). These are charged separately.
