Meeting of both families
A meeting is an important dinner party where the bride and groom and their families gather to deepen their friendship before the wedding.
In recent years, the meeting at a ryotei (Japanese-style restaurant) or a restaurant has become the mainstream alternative to a betrothal gift ceremony. Please spend a special time in a calm private room with seasonal kaiseki cuisine to strengthen the bonds between the two families. We will provide you with a quality time suitable for the beginning of a new life with the hospitality that only a ryotei can offer.

Difference from Knotting
Yuna is a formal engagement ceremony in which a letter of acceptance and delivery of goods are exchanged since ancient times, and it is characterized by its emphasis on ceremony and formality. On the other hand, the omae-meeting dinner is a modern style in which both families gather around a kaiseki dinner to deepen their friendship without being bound by formalities. More and more families are skipping the traditional "Yuinou" ceremony and using the "Omiawase" as a milestone in their engagement, making it an important opportunity to confirm the bond between the two families in the relaxed atmosphere of a private room at a ryotei restaurant.

Why not try Jisaku's specialty "mizutaki", a dish that has been loved since the establishment of the restaurant, together with your celebration?
The specialty is a dish made by only one chef, who believes that "the taste will change if more than one person cooks it" and has made it his signature dish. The only ingredients are chicken and water. The technique was created to bring out the true charm of the chicken, and the whole chicken is used from head to toe without wasting anything. Even now, more than 90 years after its establishment, only one mizutaki keeper continues to preserve the taste of the chicken.
Service charge (15% for lunch and 20% for dinner) is not included in the plan price. It will be charged separately.

Preparation until the day of the meeting
Determination of dates
Coordinate the availability of both families and set the date as early as possible. It is best to set a date that allows plenty of time for the wedding.
Venue Selection
Ideally, a private room in a ryotei (Japanese-style restaurant) or a restaurant is an ideal space for a relaxed conversation. Choosing a place where you can enjoy a meal in a friendly atmosphere will deepen the friendship between the two families.
Confirmation of cost sharing
In most cases, the groom's side is expected to bear the burden, but recently it is also common for the bride and groom to bear the burden. Both families should discuss this in advance and clarify how the burden will be borne.
What to wear on the day
We recommend that men wear suits and women wear more formal attire, such as one-piece dresses or visiting kimonos. It is important to match the formalities of both families, so it is recommended to discuss this in advance.
Preparing Souvenirs
Choose a local confectionery or good-luck gift, with a standard gift amount of 3,000 to 5,000 yen. Avoid excessively expensive items; it is best to show your appreciation for the gift.
Progress on the day of the event
To ensure that the toasts, self-introductions, and confirmation of marriage intentions proceed smoothly, it is a good idea to decide in advance who will serve as the facilitator.
I don't have to worry about being around people.
Completely private room
All rooms are private, so families with babies and small children can gather together, wheelchair users can use the rooms, and large groups of people can enjoy a lively meal without worry.
We have sunken kotatsu, tatami room, and Japanese-style chair table seating available. We do not allow you to specify the room, but please contact us if you have a preference for the style of seating.
Enjoy a warm and festive time together with your family and the view of the garden outside your window. Each room has its own dedicated waitress to assist you.
